Through its subsidiary Pannonian Energy Inc., Denver-based Gasco Energy Inc. has entered into an agreement with a group of industry providers to accelerate development of its oil and gas properties. The agreement would include drilling up to 50 wells in Gasco’s Riverbend Project in Utah’s Uinta Basin. Initially, Gasco will drill a 10-well bundle, which represents $20 million of development activity. If the group agrees, drilling may accelerate with more rigs in the future.

Dallas-based Atmos Energy Corp. and its partners have completed the sale of the general partnership and limited partnerships in Heritage Propane Partners LP for $130 million. The sale, part of a larger transaction that involved the merging of privately held Energy Transfer Co. with Heritage Propane Partners, was announced in November 2003. In February 2000, Atmos Energy, AGL Resources, TECO Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas formed a partnership to combine the propane assets of all four utilities into a single regional company, U.S. Propane LP. In August 2000, U.S. Propane merged with Heritage Propane Partners. Through their ownership of U.S. Propane, Atmos Energy and its partners had acquired an indirect ownership of the general partner and a portion of the limited partnership interests of Heritage Propane Partners.
