In anticipation of lower-than-normal temperatures continuing on its system, Northern Natural Gas declared a System Overrun Limitation (SOL) in all market-area zones for Saturday through Monday. However, the pipeline said an earlier notice about a Friday SOL had been inadvertently posted and no SOL will be in effect that day.

Florida Gas Transmission ended Thursday an Overage Alert Day that had been in effect for only the preceding Wednesday.

Destin said it ended Wednesday afternoon a force majeure related to operational problems at the Pascagoula (MS) Gas Plant (see Daily GPI, Dec. 16) and had resumed accepting nominations from offshore receipt points.

While Northeast weather remains seasonally cold, Tennessee said improved operating conditions in its market area had allowed it to lift a Critical Day 1 OFO in Zones 5 and 6 except for 11 meters (see the bulletin board for a list).

An Operational Alert declaring a force majeure for an 18-mile section of Line OM-1 in northwest Arkansas was due to “a geological event,” CenterPoint said. It reported taking the section out of service Wednesday morning to assess the extent of potential damage and perform any necessary repairs. Four delivery points were required to source gas from the Southern Star@Jane meter in order to maintain deliveries from CenterPoint during the outage.

CIG said it was netting capacity to zero until further notice at the Kanda West and Lincoln Road locations Thursday to conduct an anomaly repair in Segment 101 of its 22-inch diameter 5A Line. Declaring a related force majeure, CIG said the anomaly was discovered during smart pigging operations.
