Transportation Notes

Northwest issued a Declared Stage III Overrun Entitlement Period Friday, effective until further notice, citing "continual unauthorized drafting of the system resulting in excessive unrequested withdrawals from Jackson Prairie" storage. The entitlement applies to delivery points north of the Kemmerer (WY) Compressor Station and subjects shippers to penalties for overtakes exceeding a 13% tolerance above confirmed nominations. A Stage I entitlement had been canceled on the previous Sunday (see Daily GPI, Oct. 3).

In addition, Northwest said it had determined that completion of Soda Springs (WY) Compressor Station repairs would take until Sunday (Oct. 8), and thus its notice of a Deficiency Period was extended through that date. The pipeline originally had expected to finish the work Thursday (see Daily GPI, Oct. 2).

Citing "significant demand" in its market area, Florida Gas Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day notice Friday, effective until further notice. The notice carries a 10% tolerance for negative daily imbalances.

ANR said its previously posted Tanzanite field construction schedule (see Daily GPI, Oct. 3) has been significantly reduced. Eugene Island 327 will be shut in Oct. 11-16, while Eugene Island 341 and 371 will be shut in Oct 13-15. The original schedule had all blocks shut in Oct. 7-18.

El Paso postponed work on Line 3132 until Wednesday, when the line will be shut in for one day only to install a new road crossing at Highway 87 in West Texas. Two points will not be able to flow to El Paso that day; however, ICONSTER has not been scheduling in recent months and ISUNJAME normally schedules only about 5 MMcf/d, the pipeline said.

Northern Natural Gas shut down the #1 unit at its Jal (NM) Compressor Station for unplanned repairs that are expected to last through Oct. 30. The #2 unit remains available, NNG said, so station capacity is cut in half to about 32,000 MMBtu/d.
