Citing significant market area demand, Florida Gas Transmission
issued an Overage Alert Day notice (6% tolerance for daily negative
imbalances) Monday for the system east of Station 12 (Santa Rosa
County, FL). The pipeline will re-evaluate conditions this morning
before deciding whether to extend the notice.
A Northwest pigging project between the Sumas and Mt. Vernon
Compresor Stations in Washington began Monday and will run through
next Sunday. The work involves replacing five mainline block valves
and installing a pig launcher at Sumas and a pig receiver at Mt.
Vernon. Sumas capacity is reduced by 25-27%, or 270-290 MMcf/d. The
constraint will ease to 11-15%, or 120-160 MMcf/d, during Aug.
16-19 runs of cleaning and geometry (dent-detecting) pigs. However,
the pipeline does not expect any impact from the pig runs because
recent Sumas throughput has been below the capacity ceilings.
Sonat declared a force majeure in connection with maintenance
running through Thursday at the Bear Creek (LA) Storage field but
did not anticipate any service reductions.
