Citing "significant demand" in its market area, Florida Gas
Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day notice Wednesday. The
notice carried a 2% tolerance for negative daily imbalances. FGT
said it was unable to accommodate any market-area increases east of
Station 12 (Santa Rosa County, FL). System conditions will be
re-evaluated at 7 a.m. CDT today to determine whether the notice
should be extended.
Due to high system linepack, NOVA postponed the Bens A Station
outage that was scheduled to have started Tuesday. Instead it has
proceeded with inspections on Unit No.3 only and removed an IT
restriction for Segments 11 and 14 Wednesday. The rest of the
station work was tentatively rescheduled for early September.
Algonquin capacity through the Burrillville (RI) Compressor
Station will be limited to about 400,000 Dth/d Aug. 1-Sept. 30 due
to downstream maintenance on the 30-inch mainline. Some segments
will be replaced and about 15 miles of pipe must be retested. Due
to the limited throughput, hourly adjustments on system laterals
may be required, Algonquin said.
As of this week customers of Columbia Gulf and Columbia Gas can
