El Paso found unexpected damage in its inspection of the White Rock No. 2 turbine. The unit remained down through Friday, cutting San Juan Basin capacity by 200 MMcf/d. The pipeline expected to complete repairs by late Friday afternoon, but said because it could not raise San Juan capacity until the unit could be tested, the constraint would remain in effect for Cycles 1 and 2 of Saturday's gas day.

Effective today until further notice, Columbia Gas is restricting deliveries south of Petersburg, VA to primary delivery points.

Sonat revised its estimate of July's cumulative system cash-out imbalance to 1,259,007 dekatherms long as of last Tuesday, down from earlier in the week (see Daily GPI, July 16).
