Citing mild weather and limited operational flexibility, Tennessee said a systemwide Imbalance Warning will become effective Saturday. All delivery point operators will be required to keep actual daily takes out of the system equal to or greater than scheduled quantities regardless of their cumulative imbalance position. All receipt point operators must keep actual daily receipts into the system equal to or less than scheduled quantities regardless of their cumulative imbalance position.

Spectra Energy pipelines Texas Eastern, Algonquin and East Tennessee also were concerned about limited operational flexibility to manage imbalances due to forecasted lower market-area demand during the weekend as they imposed receipt and delivery restrictions similar to those of Tennessee for the gas days of Saturday and Sunday.

Affiliates Columbia Gas and Columbia Gulf extended a Critical Day for storage and AutoPal service restrictions (see Daily GPI, Oct. 13), respectively, through at least Friday.

An outage of its Gordondale Compressor Station that began Tuesday will limit capacity on Westcoast‘s 26-inch diameter Alberta East line to 313 MMcf/d, or 85.4% of Firm Contract Demand, Friday before full capacity is restored Saturday.

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) will continue a series of one-day weekend maintenance outages of Line 3010, the primary transmission line for its service area, from 6 a.m. PDT Saturday through 6 a.m. Sunday. The outages will extend through the following four weekends, SDG&E said, with all scheduled to last 24 hours except for the one starting Oct. 29, which is due to run for 32 hours.
