Southern Natural Gas implemented an OFO Type 6 for short imbalances effective Sunday until further notice. Tiered penalties were set for noncompliance.

Citing forecasts of near- or below-zero temperatures for all of its market area continuing into this week, ANR declared an Extreme Condition effective last Friday. The Extreme Condition will continue through Friday (Jan. 8), ANR said. Also, based on weather forecasts for Wisconsin, ANR said it had become increasingly important that as of New Year’s Day it maintain “sufficient receipt volume nominations” at the interconnect with Viking Gas Transmission at Marshfield, WI.

Gulf South said it will perform in-line inspection and cleaning operations on its Index 270 segment in South Louisiana from the Marchand [Junction] to St. Rose points from Monday through Wednesday this week. “The cleanliness of the line will be a deciding factor in the timeline,” Gulf South said. “If chemical cleaning is deemed necessary, the shutdown could potentially be extended through the week.” Nine meters will be shut in during the work, but two others in the area will remain available for service (see the bulletin board for details). Several other locations will experience lower-than-normal operating pressures as the pig passes each tap, Gulf South said.
