Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) extended an Overage Alert Day (OAD) for market-area customers through at least Tuesday but tightened the tolerance for negative daily imbalances, which had been at 25% since the OAD was implemented last Thursday, to 15%. FGT also said it would complete maintenance on one of the units at Compressor Station #7 Tuesday and for Wednesday’s gas day it was scheduling the station up to normal levels (465,000 MMBtu/d).

MRT said a System Protection Warning (SPW) will be in effect Saturday through the start of Tuesday’s gas day. MRT will not schedule any volumes that result in a daily long imbalance position during this period. See the bulletin board for other SPW conditions.

A Burley Compressor Station turbine experienced mechanical failure Monday, Northwest reported Tuesday. A new unit is being prepared for shipment to the site, Northwest said, and it hopes to begin the turbine replacement on Friday or Saturday, with the unit returning to service Saturday or Sunday. With only one operational unit at the station, available capacity will be reduced to 493,000 Dth/d starting Wednesday. Northwest noted that the unplanned engine replacement will eliminate one that had been scheduled for Sept. 30-Oct. 1. It asked customers to stay on rate, saying that with the Jackson Prairie storage facility unavailable, it has only linepack with which to balance its system.

As a result of moderate temperatures predicted for much of its market area, significant due-shipper imbalances and the upcoming Labor Day weekend, Transco said it will implement these measures effective Friday: no due-pipeline imbalances will be allowed; no excess storage injections will be allowed; and pool scheduling tolerances will be reduced to 1%. These restrictions are expected to remain in place through the holiday and into next week, Transco said.

Tennessee took Line 527A-700 out of service Tuesday morning for replacement of a subsea pipe assembly and installation of a check valve. Physical flow was suspended at four offshore Louisiana meters for the duration of the work, which is expected to last through Sept. 8.

Citing liquid handling issues at Patterson (LA) Compressor Station, ANR said Tuesday it is restricting Patterson-to-Eunice Compressor Station delivery capacity in the Southeast Area Fuel Segment to Firm Primary nominations only until further notice.
