Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (NGPL), Thursday announced it is holding open seasons for additional storage capacity at its Sayre storage field in Oklahoma, and transportation capacity along connecting pipes in northern Texas and Oklahoma. The Kinder Morgan subsidiary is proposing to add 10 Bcf of working gas capacity to the current 38.1 Bcf at the Sayre field.

The facility is located on NGPL’s Oklahoma Extension (O/E) line in central Beckham County, OK. The expansion would be created by drilling additional wells, installing more compression and dehydration equipment, and expanding the gathering system. The pipeline has targeted an in-service date of April 1, 2006, subject to required regulatory approval for the jurisdictional modifications and additions.

The Sayre open season began Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. CDT and continues until 3 p.m. CDT on Sept. 23, 2004.

Concurrently, NGPL is conducting an open season for cross-haul expansion capacity on its Amarillo to Gulf Coast (A/G) line and an expansion of the Oklahoma extension, also known as Segment One. The proposed project would add 51,000 Dt/d in A/G Cross Haul capacity and 20,000 Dt/d of incremental capacity on Segment One, running from the Devon Bridgeport plant in Wise County, TX, 90 miles north to Compressor Station 801 in Carter County, OK.

NGPL recently completed an open season for 38,000 Dth/d of A/G Cross Haul capacity in connection with its planned acquisition of the Black Marlin Pipeline. That capacity all was contracted under long-term agreements, the company said.
