Sempra Infrastructure said Tuesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with utility Entergy Texas Inc. to develop renewable energy capacity in Southeast Texas to serve Sempra’s Port Arthur LNG terminal and other projects in the area. 

The companies are aiming “to accelerate the deployment of new renewable energy generation resources and to increase the resiliency of power supply” in Southeast Texas, said San Diego, CA-based Sempra, the parent of Sempra Infrastructure.
