Citing forecasts of cooler temperatures in the Pacific Northwestfor the holiday weekend, Northwest began allowing both on-systemand off-system balancing Thursday after a long period of barringon-system balancing. However, storage volumes remain high in theJackson Prairie and Clay Basin facilities, limiting operationalflexibility, Northwest said.

Sonat said it expects to complete equipment repairs at theLogansport (LA) Compressor Station (see Daily GPI, Aug. 29) this morning. Barring unforeseenproblems, nominations for upstream receipt point Group 51 are beingaccepted on the Intraday 1 cycle for today’s gas day and on the TimelyCycle for Saturday’s gas day.

The pipeline also plans to pig Line 1204 Sept. 18-21,reducing North Mainline capacity by 135 MMcf/d. A number of otherminor maintenance projects have been scheduled throughout Septemberby El Paso; see the bulletin board for details.
