  • The labor strike scheduled to begin Thursday at Chevron Corp.’s Gorgon and Wheatstone LNG export facilities in Western Australia was postponed until 6 a.m. Perth time on Friday. Unions postponed work stoppages as contract negotiations continued and are soon expected to decide on further delaying strike action.
  • Unions were scheduled to start partial work stoppages Thursday. Plans to start full work stoppages Sept. 14 were still scheduled unless a dispute over pay and working conditions is resolved. 
  • The Gorgon and Wheatstone terminals represent about 5% of the world’s liquefaction capacity.
