Florida Gas Transmission said it was having operational problems with pipe maintenance “due to extreme weather conditions,” and no receipts would be scheduled Wednesday at its Refugio, TX interconnect with the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System, affecting about 102,000 MMBtu/d. MOPS operator Northern Natural Gas said its “current information is that it [Refugio flow] may not be back available” until Thursday.

Based on higher market requirements and an increase in system flexibility, CIG lifted Monday a Strained Operating Condition that had been declared in early September (see Daily GPI, Sept. 6). CIG said shipper compliance with the SOC has been effective in improving its operational situation.

Effective immediately, ANR said Tuesday, a Sept. 16 restriction limiting interruptible Rate Schedule DDS and MBS customers to zero net injections through Oct. 31 has been lifted. “Daily operating conditions and firm service confirmations will determine the daily level of interruptible storage nominations that will be allowed,” ANR said.

El Paso said that because of lower ambient temperatures, which increase compressor efficiency, it is increasing San Juan Basin capacity from 2,750 MMcf/d to 2,810 MMcf/d effective Wednesday. The pipeline noted that Line 1201 repairs continue to reduce capacity through Bondad Mainline and from San Juan Basin by 50 MMcf/d.

Sonat reported an unscheduled outage at its Auburn Compressor Station, saying maintenance personnel determined over the weekend that a gas compressor had been damaged to an as-yet unknown extent. The unit was removed and sent to a third-party service vendor for inspection. A repair plan and a timetable for returning that unit, as well as an unscheduled outage of the York Compressor Station posted Oct. 22, to service could be completed as early as Thursday, the pipeline said.
