Initial work was completed early this month on Transco‘s McMullen Lateral in South Texas in conjunction with a state highway widening project (see Daily GPI, Sept. 19), but additional maintenance will be required Wednesday and Thursday. All flows upstream of Milepost 47.866 on the lateral will be shut in at that time, affecting about 35 MMcf/d. See the bulletin board for a list of affected points.

Columbia Gas plans sub-station maintenance at Grant Compressor Station from Oct. 28 through approximately Nov. 1, during which one of Grant’s two units will be out of service. The work will result in zero non-firm capacity at 11 receipt points. Appalachian production on Lines KA and KA-15 from Boldman Compressor Station to Huff Creek Compressor Station will also be affected.

Citing decreasing soil and ambient temperature, TransCanada‘s NOVA unit said it requires an increase in Alberta target linepack. It seeks unconditional tenders for the firm purchase of about 235,000 gigajoules of natural gas to be delivered through inventory transfer over a period of up to 11 days starting on or about Nov. 12. Tenders may be submitted for all or some of the increase. The price will be based on a differential to a published intra-Alberta index. Tenders are due by 1 p.m. MDT Friday.
