Pacific Gas & Electric set the tolerance for positive daily imbalances at zero in declaring a systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO for Wednesday. The utility also said that new nominations placed in the Intraday 1 and Intraday 2 cycles were being cut to zero for Tuesday’s gas day. System constraints for Intraday 1 and 2 would be held to Evening scheduled volumes, PG&E said.

Florida Gas Transmission extended an Overage Alert Day notice initiated last Friday through at least Tuesday, and tightened the tolerance for negative daily imbalances from 25% Monday to 5% Tuesday.

Citing lower demand in the Phoenix area, El Paso reduced southbound flows on the Maricopa Line 1203 to 105 MMcf/d effective with Tuesday’s Cycle 1 nominations until further notice. El Paso also said Line 1600 maintenance between Gresham and Cornudas Stations will begin one day earlier than previously announced, with the work now set for Oct. 3-9. There will be no flow in either direction between Cornudas and Waha during the outage. The line has a nominal capacity of 736 MMcf/d, the pipeline said, but has only been scheduled to flow less than 200 MMcf/d recently. El Paso estimated that volumes that would normally have been scheduled to Line 1600 can be diverted to Line 2000 during the outage, resulting in no effect on deliveries from Waha to western markets.

Sonat said Tuesday it is continuing damage assessments in the Main Pass area of the Gulf of Mexico, and repairs to Olga Compressor Station in southeast Louisiana are ongoing. Prior to Hurricane Ivan, Sonat said, it was receiving 800-850 MMcf/d at about 70 points upstream of the Toca (LA) Compressor Station. Field personnel have verified the integrity of facilities associated with receipts from 31 receipt points upstream of Toca, the pipeline reported. The 31 receipt points were flowing about 385 MMcf/d prior to Ivan, but their volumes are now about 320 MMcf/d.

Having restored linepack to satisfactory levels, Westcoast reset its imbalance tolerance range Monday to the normal 10% pack/10% draft.
