Florida Gas Transmission kept an Overage Alert Day notice with 15% imbalance tolerance in effect through Saturday, then lifted it Sunday.

Sonat said Sunday it had finished scheduling Monday’s evening cycle and determined that nominations must be reduced by only about 53 MMcf to maintain gas quality. “This is significantly less than we reported in our earlier test cases,” it said. The smaller cut in nominations resulted from voluntary decreases in nominations upstream of the Toca (LA) Plant, where a processing capacity curtailment of approximately 75% began Sunday (see Daily GPI, Aug. 2 and July 30), and voluntary increases in nominations on the West Leg and other lean gas interconnects, according to Sonat. It is running a gas quality aggregation methodology for each scheduling cycle to set restrictions related to the Toca I service cutback. Previous cuts announced over the weekend were at various amounts and included no reduction for Sunday’s intraday 2 nominations. Sonat declared a Type 5 OFO effective with the start of Sunday’s gas day for gas quality at points upstream of the Enterprise (MS) Compressor Station monitoring point. Points averaging 500 Dth/d or less were exempt from the limitation.

Northwest began accepting interruptible injection nominations at its Jackson Prairie storage facility effective with Friday’s intraday 2 cycle. The pipeline said such nominations will continue to be accepted until the facility is within 3 Bcf of capacity. Monday’s bulletin board posting for Jackson Prairie status as of Saturday, the most recent data available, showed the facility to have approximately 4.26 Bcf of open space remaining.

El Paso said reassembly of Wenden Station’s GE turbine would extend one more day through Tuesday, but the turbine is expected to run Wednesday. Capacity of the Havasu Crossover will remain at 580 MMcf/d through Tuesday and be raised to about 640 MMcf/d when the turbine becomes available. The pipeline also canceled lubrication system maintenance on Laguna Station’s #2 unit that was scheduled for Monday through Thursday this week. The Roswell Station’s #3 unit turbocharger repairs were being done as scheduled Monday and Tuesday, keeping capacity of the San Juan Crossover reduced by 25 MMcf/d only through Tuesday from a base capacity of 620 MMcf/d.

Maintenance on Unit #2 at Muddy Creek Compressor Station, previously set for Wednesday through Friday this week (see Daily GPI, July 20), has been moved up by one day to Tuesday through Thursday, Kern River said Saturday. “This should eliminate shippers’ concerns of impacting gas purchase/sales for the three-day weekend period,” the pipeline added.

Westcoast had imbalance tolerances set at 5% pack and 15% draft Monday, reflecting more linepack than desired.
