Destin Pipeline will shut in when the Pascagoula (MS) Gas Plant begins about four days of maintenance May 1 at 6:30 p.m. CDT. Current Destin throughput is about 650 MMcf/d, a staffer said. The pipeline will accept about one-third of normal nominations for the May 1 gas day and will resume taking nominations on May 5 once the plant is operational. The start of the plant work represents a one-day postponement from when it was originally announced last month (see Daily GPI, March 12).

El Paso said Line 1600 cleaning between Waha and Gresham Stations will be extended again (see Daily GPI, April 24). Waha-West capacity will remain 450 MMcf/d through Thursday. The final phase of the project will require a capacity limit of 300 MMcf/d Friday and Saturday.

Florida Gas Transmission expects an outage of no more than than 24 hours when it replaces two 24-inch valves Friday at Compressor Station 7 in Acadia Parish, LA. Station capacity will be restricted to 315,000 MMBtu/d, which is the approximate level of current nominations. However, if demand increases, FGT said the maintenance may impact eight major Zone 1 receipt points: MOPS, Magnet Withers, NGPL Jefferson, Centanna Jefferson, Neumin North Vinton, Johnson Bayou, LNG Trunkline and Texas Gas Eunice.

Northern Natural Gas began a planned overhaul of the #2 compressor unit Tuesday at Beaver County (OK) Station. The work will last through April 30 and is affecting 5,000 MMBtu/d.
