A leak was confirmed at the Mustang Island 762 platform on the Northern Natural Gas-operated Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System off the Texas coast. The point was taken to zero flow, causing the shut-in of about 8,000 MMBtu/d until further notice. Personnel are evaluating the leak for repairs.

Reliant declared force majeure due to the #2 unit at its Delhi (LA) Compressor Station going down unexpectedly for repairs. Downtime was estimated Friday at one to two weeks. Capacity into the Delhi interconnect with Columbia Gulf was cut to 276,000 Dth/d Saturday until further notice. Based on future operating conditions in the area, capacity may be reduced further or possibly increased, Reliant said.

A maintenance outage of the Caprock Station is having a larger impact than anticipated, according to El Paso. It reduced capacity of the San Juan Crossover by 125 MMcf/d and said the cutback will continue through Nov. 6.

Alliance Pipeline has filed tariff sheets with Canada’s National Energy Board that would raise its tolls for firm transportation by 0.15% effective Jan. 1, 2002. The toll adjustment filing is the first of a series of annual filings, pursuant to the NEB approved toll principles.
