Florida Gas Transmission ended Thursday an Overage Alert Day notice that had been in effect since Sept. 18.

Northern Natural Gas said a gas leak within the plant yard has been discovered at Kermit Station. The station will be down until repairs can be made, affecting 30,000 MMBtu/d.

Sonat is holding an open season through Oct. 10 for FT delivery point changes by existing firm contract holders. The open season was prompted by a request to change a contract holder’s firm delivery points in Sonat’s rate Zone 3. “The existing FT shipper is not relinquishing any firm mainline capacity, and the requested delivery point changes will not create any new mainline capacity,” the pipeline said. Call Leslie Hancock at (205) 325-3864 for more information.

Maintenance on compressor units 1 and 2 at Amarillo Station is limiting the volumes that can be moved through through Dumas Station, El Paso said. The capacity for deliveries to points east of Dumas was reduced by 40 MMcf/d beginning with Cycle 2 of Thursday’s gas day and effective until further notice.

Tennessee announced acceptance of bids from two companies to provide third-party storage to be used by Tennessee for potential temporary balancing requirements starting Oct. 1. Petal Gas Storage, L.L.C. in Mississippi was selected for 500 Leg service and Egan Hub Partners, L.P. in Louisiana was selected for 800 Leg service.

Columbia Gas reminded storage customers that their Maximum Monthly Injection Quantity drops from 13% of their Storage Contract Quantity to 7% effective Oct. 1. This reduction will cause an associated decrease in the Maximum Daily Injection Quantity, Columbia said.

Tennessee’s current outage to install pig launchers and receivers on the 800 Line is scheduled to continue through Oct. 10. As a result, nominations upstream of Station 843 for the Oct. 1 gas day are expected to be in excess of available capacity. Thus Tennessee anticipates restricting and sealing about 25% of Secondary Services (IT-X, IT, AOT, Payback, EDS/ERS, Tertiary, Secondary) from meters upstream of Station 843 on the 800 Line, including the Zone L 800 Leg pool meter, effective with Oct. 1 business. Meters located on the west and southwest legs of the Blue Water System will be excluded from the restriction and seal.
