Tennessee delayed the start of a maintenance outage on its 500 Line, previously set for today (see Daily GPI, July 27), until Monday. Tennessee anticipates restricting and sealing 40-65% of Secondary services through the end of the month at meters upstream of Station 530, and will not accept any nominations at the Lake Borgne meter Aug. 11-23.

In conjunction with Aug. 6-10 maintenance on the Eakin Station’s Centaur “H” unit, Questar has been working with Kern River to facilitate transportation nominations during that time. Due to high volumes moving through Kern River’s Muddy Creek facility, Kern River anticipates being unable to take volumes from Questar into the suction side of Muddy Creek. As a result, Questar will not accept nominations for delivery to Muddy Creek during the maintenance period.

Florida Gas Transmission has scheduled commissioning of a new clean burn unit at Compressor Station 6 (Vidor, TX) for today through next Wednesday. During this period FGT will be unable to perform backhauls from any receipt points downstream of the station to any upstream delivery points. However, the maintenance will not affect any receipt points for deliveries to the pipeline’s market area.

Sonat personnel discovered an equipment problem Wednesday at the Main Pass 144 platform that caused the shut-in of the Main Pass 123 and Main Pass 133C points for the start of Thursday’s gas day. Sonat initially estimated that repairs would take about two days, but they were completed more quickly than expected and the pipeline resumed taking nominations at the two affected points effective with Thursday’s Intraday 2 cycle.
