A potential Sonat shut-in of gas behind Toca, LA processingfacilities over the holiday weekend (see Daily GPI, Jan. 16) was averted. Repairs werecompleted at Enterprise’s Toca II plant and it resumed operationsSaturday evening, the pipeline said. That means bothEnterprise-operated facilities and the Western-operated plant “are nowprocessing all of the gas upstream of the plants based on theirrespective commercial arrangements,” Sonat added. It encouraged “allparties to maintain arrangements that will keep the processing plantsoperating at the level necessary to process all gas upstream of Toca.”

Tennessee reported identifying seven meters (Gibbstown Dehyd, WestCameron 215A, East Cameron 66, Starks-Hankamer #1, North Bell City,Rockefeller #1 and South Harmony) on its 800 Line in South Louisianathat were tendering gas with Btu values above 1,100 per cubic foot. Asof Tuesday Tennessee was not accepting nominations from those meterswithout proof of downstream processing that would bring the gas withinquality specs (see Daily GPI,Jan. 16). If this action does not alleviate the problem, thepipeline continued, it will cut the accepted Btu level to below 1,100at all 800 Line meters. Meters on the 800 Line that can provedownstream processing or are located on the West Leg of the Blue WaterSystem will be excluded from this possible future action.

Citing improper gas quality, effective today Florida GasTransmission will further reduce a limit of 80,000 MMBtu/d at theEnron Sabine Pass Plant receipt point to 40,000 MMBtu/d. Restrictionsthat began Dec. 9 for high concentrations of hexane and heaviercomponents (see Daily GPI, Dec. 8, 2000)remain in effect at three other receipt points until further notice.

Maintenance repairs running through Friday to Line 3222 in SanJuan Basin are affecting points upstream of Bondad Mainline and thetotal flow through Gallup (NM) Station, El Paso said. Seven BondadMainline (normal capacity of 675 MMcf/d) receipt points are beingcut by 50 MMcf/d each. The loss can not be made up by downstreampoints, El Paso said, so the same (not additional) reduction mustbe applied at Gallup.

Questar Pipeline was notified by LDC affiliate Questar Gas thatdeliveries at the Payson, UT citygate station will be reduced by50,000 dekatherms for about 12 hours today by line work. As aresult, the pipeline expects to schedule either the Southern Systemor west of Fidlar Station by a like amount for today’s gas day butalso expects to accept Cycle 4 nominations.
