Sonat is holding an open season through Nov. 13 for new FT serviceon its South Georgia facilities. The open season results from interestexpressed by some customers in acquiring incremental rolled-in firmservice in the South Georgia segment during an open season held lastsummer. Sonat anticipates that the new FT capacity would require anincremental rate higher than its current South Georgia facilitiesreservation rate of $4.75/dth. Minimum contract terms are for 15years. Subject to FERC approval, the pipeline anticipates placing theexpansion facilities in service around the winter of 2002-2003. Sonatalso will consider requests for additional South Georgia FT from thereceipt point on the recently announced Cypress Natural Gas project(see Daily GPI, June 29).
