Pacific Gas & Electric had a customer-specific OFO in placeSunday but did not extend it.

El Paso shortened the length of this week’s maintenance outage ofits Washington Ranch Storage Facility to today through Thursday. Theoutage, during which no injections or withdrawals are being scheduled,previously had been set for Monday through Friday (see Daily GPI, Sept. 1). The pipeline also postponedpigging of Line 1204, originally scheduled for Sept. 18-21, untilOctober. See the Passport bulletin board for other changes in upcomingmaintenance.

Union Gas Limited is taking bids through 1 p.m. EDT for peakstorage services at its Dawn, ON market hub. Injections would beallowed to begin Saturday for 2000-2001 winter withdrawals on aninterruptible basis. Capacity will be awarded to the highestbidders within half an hour after the bid deadline. The Unioncomplex at Dawn is Canada’s largest storage facility, offeringworking capacity of more than 140 Bcf and deliverability of morethan 2 Bcf/d. It has six pipeline interconnects (three of them withTransCanada), allowing access to 15 pipeline and distributioncompanies. Call Carol Cameron at (519) 436-5258 for moreinformation.

NGPL experienced a compressor failure Saturday morning at itsNorth Lansing Storage Field. There were no injuries or gas losses,but damage to the unit and building caused a shutdown of the entirestation and a reduction of injections to zero. Repairs wereprogressing Monday and the station was partially available forinjections again, NGPL said. However, until further notice it isrestricting available storage services on the Gulf Coast andAmarillo Systems; see the bulletin board for details.

El Paso again raised maximum throughput for Pecos River Station inNew Mexico (see Daily GPI, Sept. 8) from800 MMcf/d to 820 MMcf/d effective with intraday nominations forFriday and Saturday.
