Barring unforeseen circumstances, the 14-inch Romere Pass Line offshore southeastern Louisiana (see Daily GPI, July 7; July 18) could be back in service on or around Aug. 11, Sonat said Friday. The line ruptured July 5, causing the shut-in of up to 100 MMcf/d at five receipt points. A repair plan has been completed and submitted to regulatory authorities for approval, the pipeline said. It expects that the approvals could be completed in time for work to begin on or about Thursday of this week. July 27. The estimated repair time is 10-15 calendar days.

CNG will take its TL-283 facility out of service today for pipe replacement. TL-283 is expected to be back in service Aug. 2.

Due to nominations exceeding capacity, Transwestern was allocating space Saturday at its Needles, CA delivery point into the SoCal Gas system. About 123,000 MMBtu/d of West of Thoreau capacity would be affected, the pipeline said Friday.

El Paso was to begin meter maintenance Sunday at its ITWWINRK interconnect (Apache County, AZ) that will last through Tuesday. The point will be shut in during this time with zero volumes scheduled.

Citing shipper interest, CIG is holding an open season through Tuesday to solicit support for a system expansion from its Picketwire Lateral (Las Animas County, CO) to Campo Junction (Baca County, CO) and delivery points south and east of Campo Junction. CIG said it would expand by adding compression and/or looping as necessary. It anticipates this expansion could be in service in September 2001. See the pipeline’s bulletin board for details.
