In a Friday update on the May 7 fire that knocked out service atits Station 812 in Atoka County, OK (see Daily GPI, May 10 and 15), NGPL said it plans on reconstructingthe destroyed service building in upcoming months and targeted areturn to normal operations for Nov. 1. Pre-fire capacity will berestored at that time, the pipeline said, but until then volumes inSegment 16 are limited to 135,000 MMBtu/d. Although the station’scompressors weren’t damaged, they can’t be operated due to the loss ofequipment in the service building.

Experiencing significant market-area demand, Florida GasTransmission issued an Overage Alert Day notice for Friday anduntil further notice. The tolerance for negative daily imbalanceswas set at 10%, but the pipeline advised shippers that thepercentage might be reduced if conditions did not improve.

Rising linepack prompted NOVA to change its system tolerance fordaily imbalances to 0/-20 % Friday.

In addition to its summer maintenance program that began May 3and reduced Southeast Mainline capacity by 100 MMcf/dD, startingtoday ANR will be performing pipeline recoating work just north ofthe Madisonville (KY) Compressor Station. The work is projected totake three weeks and will bring the total reduction in mainlinecapacity to 225 MMCF/D. However, based on current scheduling ANRdid not anticipate any impact on transport volumes.

Because of to nominations exceeding capacity, Transwesterncontinued to allocate through at least Friday at its SoCal Needlesdelivery point (see Daily GPI, May17). About 123,000 MMbtu/d was being affected.
