Destin Pipeline continued to keep about 600 MMcf/d of offshore gasshut in Tuesday and today. The latest word Tuesday from BP Amoco,operator of the Pascagoula (MS) Gas Plant into which Destin feeds, wasthat repairs of a leak in a downstream natural gas liquids line (seeDaily GPI, March 6) likely would not becompleted before late this evening, according to a Destinstaffer. However, Williams Field Services, which has a unit thatoperates the liquids line, said the line had been cleared andexcavation was starting Tuesday afternoon. “We should have a muchbetter picture of the work Wednesday morning,” a WFS spokesman said,adding that line service could be restored at any time during the day.

Saying linepack had stabilized, El Paso suspended Tuesday anUnauthorized Overpull Penalty alert that had been issued lastWednesday afternoon.

Gulf South (formerly Koch Gateway) declared a force majeureevent late Monday afternoon, saying repairs are required on a6-inch line in Smith County, TX due to high water in the area. Therepairs can not be made at this time and the line has been takenout of service until further notice, Gulf South said. Only onecustomer is affected.

Algonquin reported the compressor unit at its SoutheastCompressor Station has been repaired, but in order to allow thepipeline system to recover, all previously posted restrictions (seeDaily GPI, March 6) remained in effect through Tuesday. Secondaryrestrictions at Southeast will be lifted today, and a limitedamount of due-shipper imbalance gas will be available forscheduling.

Questar has scheduled line work next month at its Clay Basinstorage facility in support of the facility’s new dewpoint plant.For the gas days of April 2-4, no physical injection or withdrawalservices will be available from either Northwest or Questar.However, injection/withdrawal nominations will be accepted as longas the total volume for each pipeline nets to zero. Physicalinjections and withdrawals will be available from Northwest onApril 5 but not from Questar. Normal service for both pipes willreturn April 6. Questar anticipates scheduling mainline, T-1 andflexed nominations on its Southern System for the duration of theline work.
