After previously noting that Critical Days for storage would become more common through the end of injection season, Columbia Gas (TCO) said Friday the gas days of Saturday through Monday would be deemed as such Critical Days. Based on its injection capacity and on forecasted firm requirements, TCO projected that all available injection capacity would be required to meet firm service obligations, with no likelihood of interruptible services. Withdrawals were not impacted. AutoPAL (Park and Loan) service would not be available through the weekend, TCO said.

TCO affiliate Columbia Gulf also was not allowing AutoPAL nominations during the weekend and said no nominations to resolve due-pipe imbalances would be accepted.

Florida Gas Transmission ended a three-day Overage Alert Day (OAD) Friday but said forecasts of weekend highs in the 90s in its Florida market area meant a new OAD might be issued.

Transco reported completion of facility modifications between mainline valves 90D40 and 100D0. (Dallas County, AL, to Chilton County, AL) and had resumed scheduling delivery quantities to the International Paper meter Friday. Transco also said it expected to complete facility modifications on its 24-inch diameter mainline “A” between mainline valves 10A60 and 20A10 (Jim Wells County to Victoria County in Texas) and would allow nominations to resume at seven affected receipt points for Saturday’s gas day.

Southern said it had canceled a force majeure implemented Aug. 29 after finishing investigation and repair of the piping at the Main Pass 144 platform. The platform operator is performing maintenance, Southern said, but once that is completed flows may resume at four Main Pass meters.

Noting its evaluation of the need for potential piping repairs at Totem Storage Field, CIG said such repairs are scheduled to be completed by Oct. 3. To minimize future Totem downtime, bottom hole surveys originally set for Nov. 2-9 have been rescheduled for Monday through Oct. 3, CIG said. No physical injections or withdrawals will be possible during the surveys.

Northwest is performing anomaly investigations between the Soda Springs and Lava Hot Springs compressor stations that are expected to continue through Oct. 8. From Saturday (Sept. 24) through next Friday, Soda Springs capacity will be limited to 441,000 Dth/d, rising to 506,000 Dth/d in the Oct. 1-8 period. If primary nominations exceed the available capacity, Northwest said, it will declare a deficiency period and allocate nominations accordingly. The pipeline reminded customers that temporary reroute tie-ins will be occurring Thursday and Friday at Kemmerer Compressor Station, during which station capacity will be zero.
