Pacific Gas & Electric kept a systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO on its California Gas Transmission system in effect through at least Friday but loosened the tolerance for positive daily imbalances from 5% Thursday to 11% Friday.

Due to high pressures at the Jackson Prairie storage facility, as of Thursday firm injections were being limited to the lesser of 100,000 Dth/d or the remaining available capacity, Northwest said. On Wednesday the remaining available capacity was approximately 500,000 Dth, it said. “The remaining available capacity will increase as more gas is moved from Zone 2 to Zone 9 and as higher field pressures create more capacity,” the pipeline said. It will post an update on the remaining available capacity Sunday evening.

While conducting its Department of Transportation-mandated Pipeline Integrity Projects, Texas Eastern said it determined that repairs are required on the 24-inch diameter line at the suction side of Summerfield Compressor Station. Operating pressure there has been reduced from 800 psi to 576 psi while TE prepares to make repairs scheduled for Saturday. During this outage receipts sourced between Little Rock and Summerfield for delivery downstream of Summerfield will be restricted for interruptible, secondary firm and primary firm services, Texas Eastern said. Additionally, a restriction of receipt points between Joaquin and Longview in East Texas will be required for interruptible and secondary firm services. The pipeline estimates that repairs will take one day to complete.

Repairs to Unit #2 at Oak Spring Compressor Station will not be completed as previously expected (see Daily GPI, June 25) due to a problem with replacement parts, Questar said. As a result, capacity in the ML 104 segment will remain at 330,000 Dth/d until further notice.

El Paso said Thursday it was concerned about underperformance issues at three locations in San Juan Basin and one in the Waha Pooling Area. See the bulletin board for details. It also noted that receipts will remain at zero until further notice at the INNWAHA and INNKEYST interconnects because of gas quality issues.

Due to gas quality issues, ANR shut in the Eugene Island 217 receipt point offshore Louisiana Wednesday until further notice.

Sea Robin Pipeline said it will not accept nominations for Monday’s gas day at the Jefferson Island Storage & Hub location due to unscheduled maintenance.
