Pacific Gas & Electric expanded Wednesday’s customer-specific OFO on its California Gas Transmission system to a systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO for Thursday. The tolerance for positive daily imbalances was set at 5%, with $1/Dth penalties for noncompliance.

Florida Gas Transmission returned the tolerance Wednesday for negative daily imbalances on an ongoing Overage Alert Day (OAD) for market-area customers to the 25% level that was in effect when the OAD began June 16. It had tightened the tolerance to 15% Monday and Tuesday.

Citing gas quality issues, ANR said Wednesday it has shut in the South Marsh Island 61 receipt point offshore Louisiana until further notice.

Northwest began facility modifications Wednesday between the Soda Springs and Lava Hot Springs compressor stations that will continue through Thursday. Because primary firm nomination requests through Soda Springs exceeded the available capacity of 391,000 Dth/d, Northwest gave notice of a Declared Deficiency Period there. A Declared Deficiency Period on the Parachute Lateral (see Daily GPI, June 24) was scheduled to end Thursday.

Questar said it expected to complete repairs of Unit #2 at Oak Spring Compressor Station (see Daily GPI, June 24) by 4 p.m. MDT Thursday. As a result, it said the restriction of ML 104 capacity would remain at 330,000 Dth/d Wednesday before being raised to 500,000 Dth/d for Cycle 3 nominations for Thursday’s gas day.

Northern Natural Gas declared a force majeure due to a line failure that resulted in service being lost to the town of Ramsay in Gogebic County, MI. Saying the local distribution company that serves Ramsay was cooperating, Northern said it expected to restore service sometime Wednesday.
