Citing cold conditions, Panhandle Eastern is implementing an Operational Alert effective Tuesday until further notice. Hourly flows under Rate Schedules EFT and EIT will be limited during any single hour to one-sixteenth of the gas nominated at a delivery point for that gas day, Panhandle said. In addition, it added, flows under Rate Schedules FT and IT will be limited during any hour to one-twenty-fourth of the gas nominated at a delivery point that day. “Panhandle may limit AutoUnpark nominations on the pipeline for the duration of the extreme weather. These limits will be evaluated on a daily basis,” the pipeline said.

Due to cold weather in its service area, MRT said a System Protection Warning (SPW) will become effective Tuesday until further notice. See the bulletin board for SPW conditions.

Northern Natural Gas extended System Overrun Limitations for all market-area zones and for the New Market, MN, #1 Town Border Station, which were implemented Monday (see Daily GPI, Jan. 12), through Thursday. Zero System Management Service is available, Northern said.

Southwest Gas declared a “hold to burn notice” Monday that will remain in effect until further notice, according to a posting on the Kern River bulletin board. Southwest said its notice was “due to consistent and repeated underpulls from transportation customers and requests from Southwest’s upstream pipelines to draft gas that has been banked over the last several days.” In a related note, Kern River said linepack was high Monday in the three farthest downstream of its four system segments.

Transwestern said its ANR Red interconnect will be shut in Tuesday due to receiving an oily substance that is incapacitating the meter facility. Both pipelines are working diligently to clean the facility and line, Transwestern said. Estimated downtime is approximately one day. ANR Red capacity is expected to be restored to the normal 220,000 MMBtu/d Wednesday, Transwestern said. It also declared force majeure in announcing it had experienced a mechanical failure late Monday morning on Unit #2 at La Plata Compressor Station. Capacity through the station was reduced from 500,000 MMBtu/d to 290,000 MMBtu/d Monday through at least Tuesday, affecting three interconnects, Transwestern said.

Rockies Express (REX) has “various maintenance projects” scheduled for Tuesday through Thursday of this week between Turney Compressor Station and the PEPL/REX Audrain delivery point to Panhandle Eastern. Only primary firm quantities will be scheduled at PEPL/REX Audrain during this period, REX said. REX also said it is accepting faxed written bids through 11 a.m. Wednesday for 70,000 Dth/d of firm transportation capacity from Zone 1 to Zone 2 that will be available Feb. 1-March 31. Additionally, up to 25,000 Dth/d of capacity is available for the same period from the Opal Hub area to Wamsutter, the pipeline said. See the bulletin board for further details.

Gulf South declared force majeure in connection with about three days of scheduled maintenance that will begin Tuesday on Index 818 (the 42-inch diameter Southeast Expansion). Seven locations east of Harrisville Compressor Station will be shut in and unavailable for service during this work, Gulf South said; see the bulletin board for a list.

NOVA restored its imbalance tolerance range to the normal -4/+4 Saturday after having changed it to -4/+2 last Thursday.

ANR said Monday it has completed pipe repairs along the Southwest Mainline upstream of Havensville (KS) Compressor Station and has lifted all associated capacity restrictions.

Transco reported Monday completing an investigation of its 16-inch diameter line on the Southeast Louisiana Lateral between Eugene Island 129 and Ship Shoal 28 and said the line has been returned to normal operation. Transco said it resumed accepting nominations from three meters that were required to shut in during the investigation.

Questar reported Friday afternoon it had completed repairs at Greasewood Compressor Station and returned capacity at its TransColorado interconnect to 50,000 Dth/d.
