Columbia Gas said it was terminating Tuesday morning the declaration of a force majeure and OFO for Operating Areas 1, 4 and 10 that had resulted Monday afternoon from “operational events beyond its control” at the Strasburg (VA) and Seneca (WV) compressor stations.

Northern Natural Gas reported experiencing a force majeure situation at the Sunray (TX) Compressor Station when Unit #7 failed. BP Sunray Plant-Moore County receipt volumes were limited to 45,000 MMBtu/d, and allocations began effective with Evening cycle nominations for Tuesday’s gas day.

Tennessee posted notice of a force majeure due to mechanical failure Monday of a unit at Compressor Station 32 in Jasper, TX. The pipeline estimated that the unit should be repaired by Jan. 20. Until then, restrictions may become necessary through a pro rata portion of Secondary in the Path nominations through the station. Tennessee also said Tuesday that due to inclement weather, the start date for a valve replacement project at the West Cameron 68 Field has been delayed. The work, which previously had been expected to begin Tuesday (see Daily GPI, Dec. 8), is now tentatively scheduled to start Wednesday and last five days. It will require the shut-in of seven meters.

Northwest has increased available capacity on the Reno Lateral to 132,000 Dth/d for the ongoing anomaly work scheduled to be completed Dec. 22 (see Daily GPI, Dec. 8). This change is a result of reduced daylight work hours and colder temperatures, Northwest said.
