Algonquin said Friday it had experienced an unplanned outage at its Burrillville (RI) Compressor Station in Rhode Island. While the unspecified capacity reduction had not resulted in any interruption of services, Algonquin said it will take the reduction into account as necessary in scheduling future gas flows. It estimated that the compressor unit will be out of service through Nov. 20. Shippers looking for alternate flow path options to avoid possible Burrillville restrictions can source gas from the Tennessee Gas Mendon, Maritimes & Northeast Beverly and Distrigas Everett receipt points, the pipeline added.

Gulf South reported beginning an estimated three days of unscheduled maintenance Friday on the Unit #5 turbine at Carthage Junction Compressor Station. It declared force majeure for Expansion Capacity Allocation Area 16 and said capacity through the station to the 42-inch diameter Expansion pipeline was being cut to 1,150,000 Dth/d effective Saturday.
