Transco told shippers Friday that it would implement an Imbalance OFO Saturday due to high linepack. However, the OFO was canceled Saturday morning as Transco said linepack was returning to “acceptable” levels. The following restrictions remain in place until further notice: the pool balancing tolerance is 1%; Transco will not allow any makeup of due-pipeline imbalances; no excess storage injections are allowed; and no incremental parked gas or return of loaned gas will be accommodated.

Southern California Gas ended Monday a high-linepack OFO that had been in effect since the preceding Friday.

Pacific Gas & Electric allowed a systemwide high-inventory OFO that had been in effect for three days to expire Saturday. The systemwide OFO had been converted from a customer-specific one affecting 10 shippers last Tuesday.

Noting that it began performing anomaly investigations between the Caldwell and Baker compressor stations Monday, Northwest said primary firm nomination requests through Caldwell have exceeded the station’s available capacity of 416,000 Dth/d. Therefore Northwest implemented a Declared Deficiency Period at Caldwell for Monday’s gas day that the pipeline expects to continue through the end of July.

Williams Field Services said it postponed turbine maintenance at the Opal Hub’s LaBarge Station that had been planned for Tuesday and Wednesday. The work is now set for three days (July 29-31) and will cut station volume by an estimated 60,000 Dth/d. Affected customers will be notified of volume reductions 48 hours prior to the start of the maintenance.

Gulf South began unscheduled maintenance Monday until further notice on Unit #3 at Clarence (LA) Compressor Station. Capacity through the station could be reduced by as much as 100,000 Dth/d during the work, Gulf South said.

TGT reported being notified by Columbia Gas that Columbia began a three-week period of scheduled maintenance Monday at their interconnect in Lebanon, OH. The work requires that receipts from TGT at the interconnect be shut in.

El Paso said that after further investigation it found extensive damage to the #1 turbine at White Rock Station (see Daily GPI, July 7) that requires a complete teardown of the unit for repairs. A 208 MMcf/d reduction in total San Juan Basin and San Juan Mainline capacity will remain in effect until the repairs are complete.
