Northwest lifted Tuesday an entitlement for undertakes north ofKemmerer (WY) Station that had begun a week earlier (see Daily GPI, Nov. 10). Although linepack has returned toan acceptable level, the pipeline said, Jackson Prairie storage”remains virtually full with approximately 300,000 [dekatherms] ofavailable physical capacity.” Northwest is not authorizing anyimbalance paybacks until further notice.

After discovering a potential mechanical problem with MuddyCreek Compressor Unit No.1 last Friday, Kern River shut the unitdown Saturday for about eight hours of inspection. The pipeline andthe compressor’s manufacturer agreed that the engine needs to bereplaced. The replacement will take place Nov. 20-21, during whichcapacity behind Muddy Creek (the receipt points of Opal, NorthwestPipeline, CIG, Overland Trails and Muddy Creek Pool) will berestricted to approximately 310 MMcf/d. Kern River anticipates thatno IT will be available from upstream points.
