With hot weather having moderated in its Northeast market area, Tennessee canceled Friday the Critical Day 1 OFO that it had issued Wednesday. East Tennessee Natural Gas also lifted its related Balancing Alert OFO (see Daily GPI, Aug. 3).

Florida Gas Transmission extended an Overage Alert Day for customers in its market area into at least its fifth day Friday, but loosened the tolerance for negative daily imbalances from Thursday’s 15% to 25% — the tolerance at which the OAD began last Monday.

Northern Natural Gas declared a force majeure situation at its Spearman Compressor Station after the station dehydration system experienced another leak in the fire tube area while being returned to service from last week’s repairs. Spearman dehydration capacity is limited to 98,000 MMBtu/d as a result of the fire tube issue. Repairs are anticipated to be complete by Thursday.

Northwest completed the installation of pigging facilities near the Green River South constraint point as scheduled Thursday and ended the associated Declared Deficiency Period (see Daily GPI, Aug. 2). North-flow design capacity of 441,000 Dth/d at the constraint point was restored for Friday’s gas day. Northwest also said it would increase Park Delivery service at its Jackson Prairie storage facility to 100,000 Dth Saturday (Aug. 5).

The Northeast cooldown allowed Transco to cancel Friday several restrictions that had been implemented Wednesday in response to extreme market-area temperatures (see Daily GPI, Aug. 3). Among the effects was a return of the pool balancing tolerance to 4%. Transco also resumed accepting nominations at its Lacy TETCO interconnect with Texas Eastern in Hidalgo County, TX (see Daily GPI, July 20).

Questar Gas has notified Questar Pipeline that the affiliated LDC will be performing line work Aug. 13-19 that will reduce flow through Payson Gate Station. As a result, ML 80 capacity will be reduced to 230,000 Dth/d for those gas days. Based on current nominations, this represents a 25% reduction to flexed (tier 5) nominations, the pipeline said. ML 80 capacity will return to normal (265,000 Dth/d) for Cycle 1 nominations Aug. 20.
