Northern Natural Gas reported late Thursday afternoon experiencing a force majeure situation at its Bushton (KS) Compressor Station that triggered an emergency shutdown of the station. Until the station resumes operation, Northern is unable to deliver gas into the Bushton Processing Plant.

Florida Gas Transmission did not extend an Overage Alert Day beyond Thursday. The pipeline said it would be performing unscheduled maintenance on one of eight units at Station 10 from Monday (June 5) through Thursday, during which it will schedule up to approximately 1,350,000 MMBtu/d through the station.

KM Interstate lifted Friday a force majeure that had been declared Wednesday at the Casper (WY) Compressor Station, saying it was able to complete repairs to the station earlier than expected due to the expedited acquisition of replacement parts. KM Interstate has scheduled Casper maintenance for June 6-16 that will limit capacity through segments 10, 43 and 730 to 156,000 Dth/d.

To accommodate customer requests regarding weekend trading and nominations, Northwest has delayed the date of Vernal District pigging facility installations (see Daily GPI, June 2) by an additional day to June 20.

Gulf South will begin an estimated three weeks of scheduled maintenance on Bistineau Compressor Station Units #3 and #4 Monday (June 5). Injection capacity into Bistineau Storage Field in North Louisiana could be reduced by 150 MMcf/d, but based on current nominations injections should not be affected, Gulf South said. There will be no impact to withdrawal capacity.

In a further update on the force majeure event that was declared last November due to equipment failure at Compressor Station 25 in Cleveland, TX, Tennessee said that although it has partially restored station capacity (see Daily GPI, April 10), one unit will remain out of service until around late July due to the unavailability of certain parts. However, based on current throughput, Tennessee does not anticipate restricting volumes through Station 25.
