A lightning strike Monday night at PG&E GasTransmission-Northwest’s Station 13 (Chemult, OR) caused ashortfall in receipts, but PG&E GT-NW said it worked with NOVAto correct respective linepacks under an Operational BalancingAgreement and thus did not expect any impact on Tuesday’s scheduledvolumes. However, it was unable to schedule any increased receiptsat Kingsgate or additional deliveries through Station 13 Tuesday.

Florida Gas Transmission did not extend an Overage Alert Day notice(see Daily GPI, Aug. 10) beyond Monday’sgas day.

Union Gas Ltd. is holding an open season through Friday for upto 2 Bcf of peak storage at its Dawn, ON, market hub. Injectionsmay begin this summer, allowing for 1999-2000 winter withdrawal.Dawn has six pipeline interconnects (three to TransCanada),providing access to 15 pipeline and distribution companies.

Sonat has scheduled pipeline and compressor station maintenanceon various parts of its system from August through near the end ofthe year but does not expect significant flow impacts. An exceptionis a pipe replacement project at the Koch Gateway/Kosciuskointerconnect in northern Mississippi. Sonat will be unable toschedule receipt or delivery nominations at the point until mid tolate September.

Westar Transmission is waiving all daily and monthly cash-outprovisions in shipper contracts for August, according to a noticeon the KN bulletin board.
