In completing an assessment of Hurricane Rita-related damage to its 12-inch lateral from South Marsh Island Block 17/18 through Eugene Island Block 115, ANR said it identified a leak at Eugene Island Block 133. ANR declared a force majeure event in the area Friday and said until further notice, receipt locations on that line and any connected laterals will not be available for nominations. In an update Monday on repairs to offshore and onshore facilities in its Southeast Gathering Area (SEGA), ANR said effective immediately it was increasing capacity through its Grand Chenier, LA facilities to 250 MMcf/d for the SE 3 A (Grand Chen)-CFTP location until further notice. ANR also said it returned to service the following offshore pipelines and interconnects that have been inspected and approved: the 30-inch West Cameron 167 line to Grand Chenier (although at this time no liquids will be accepted at West Cameron 167); and the 16-inch Cameron Meadows line to Lake Arthur, but no interconnections have been cleared for flow on this line. ANR continues to accept nominations for receipt and delivery points located downstream of the Lake Arthur Compressor Station.

Columbia Gulf said it will revise the total capacity that can be delivered to nine meter stations effective Wednesday and until further notice. It will deliver 10,000 Dth/d each to the Gibson, Bridgeline Paradis (#412), Bayou Blue, Golden Meadow, Bridgeline Paradis (#4048) and Shadyside meter stations; and 40,000 Dth/d each to the Lafayette Util., FGT and Cleco-Teche meter stations.

Bondad Station maintenance previously scheduled to begin on Tuesday this week was started Monday evening instead, El Paso said. One unit at a time will be down for mechanical inspections that began at 8 p.m. MDT Monday and will continue through Thursday. Bondad Station capacity was reduced by 70 MMcf/d Monday (prorated for a half-day outage) and will be cut by 135 MMcf/d Thursday through Thursday (both reductions are from a base capacity of 746 MMcf/d).

Because of lost production at certain receipt points as a result of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Gulf South is evaluating a potential new receipt interconnection with Discovery Gas Transmission on Gulf South’s Index 296 segment in Lafourche Parish, LA. Gulf South said it will provide the capital and install the facilities necessary to connect Discovery to its system, but in order to recover the cost of capital, aid in construction is being requested from shippers interested in obtaining receipt capacity at the Discovery location. Gulf South anticipates completing the new interconnect by Dec. 31, subject to third-party agreements, procuring equipment, and securing the necessary rights-of-way and permits. Customers interested in participating through aid in construction should contact Clarinda Smith at (713) 544-6207.
