Effective with Monday’s Cycle 4 nominations, Destin removed a force majeure notice and said it was accepting nominations from all receipt points. However, due to the approach of Hurricane Rita, at 1 p.m. CDT Tuesday Destin said it was claiming force majeure again until further notice and would be unable to provide transportation services from offshore receipt points. Onshore receipt and delivery points will remain in operation, Destin said.

Citing the prospect that Hurricane Rita may reduce receipt volumes into its system and 90-degree temperatures being forecasted in Florida, Florida Gas Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day notice for its market area Tuesday. The notice carried a 25% tolerance for negative daily imbalances.

ANR reported early completion of engine maintenance at its Patterson (LA) Compressor Station (see Daily GPI, Sept. 19), meaning IT curtailments between Patterson and the Eunice (LA) Compressor Station were not necessary Tuesday.

Trunkline said it has cleared for flow the Mississippi Canyon 486-AEDC, Grand Isle 102-ENI Petroleum, South Timbalier 146B-Energy Resource Technology and Grand Isle-Walter Oil & Gas receipt points.

Questar will be installing measurement and control facilities at Fidlar Station Sept. 27-28 that will require all deliveries from the Red Wash area to be shut in.

NOVA will restrict Firm Service to about 77% of contract demand at six stations in Segment 7 to allow for a tie-in beginning at the start of Friday’s gas day. The outage is expected to last 16 hours. All Firm Service transfers will be restricted to downstream areas only and no transfers into the affected area will be allowed.
