Pacific Gas & Electric did not extend a high-inventory OFO beyond Friday. However, the California market continued to be impacted by a similar constraint as Southern California Gas declared an OFO for Saturday. The utility would automatically reduce volumes for any shipper exceeding a 10% tolerance on deliveries into the system, a SoCalGas spokeswoman said.

Dominion ordered that all production on the “wet” gathering system behind the Hastings (WV) Extraction Plant be shut in Friday due to an emergency situation at the plant. “We will begin to bring production back when compression becomes available,” the pipeline said.

Nicor Gas advised shippers Friday that it might be forced to limit receipts into its system over the weekend due to “forecasted reduced send-out due to warmer than normal temperatures for the season [and] company storage operations capabilities are limited due to inventory levels.”

In contrast to other pipes cautioning against banking gas on their systems, Northwest posted this exclamation-heavy notice Friday: “Temperatures in the Pacific Northwest are cold and linepack is low! Temperatures are projected to remain cold throughout the weekend. NO DRAFTING! Utilize storage and Park and Loan to the extent possible. Please align your markets and supply for the weekend!”
