Due to inspection of Unit #4 at the Kemmerer (WY) Station, there will be no Park or Loan service available Monday through Friday this week, Northwest said.

Transco posted a list of Southeast Louisiana Lateral receipt points upstream of processing plants where it said recent analysis indicates that tendered gas does not meet the pipeline’s merchantability specifications. Effective with the May 1 gas day, out-of-spec gas at those points will not be confirmed for transportation, Transco said.

As part of its Pipeline Integrity Program, Transwestern will conduct a series of cleaning projects and various pig runs on the San Juan Lateral during the May 8-26 time frame. The dates were revised from a previous schedule, the pipeline said. The biggest capacity constraints will occur May 8-16 in the lateral’s Ignacio to Blanco segment and May 17-26 in the Blanco Hub to Thoreau segment; they will be limited to 250,000 MMBtu/d. Blanco Hub to Thoreau will be limited to 800,000 MMBtu/d May 8-16 and Ignacio to Blanco will be limited to 716,000 MMBtu/d on May 17. See the bulletin board for specific points that will be impacted.

Sonat reminded customers of an early April posting informing them of capacity constraints on its 26-inch Main Pass Line offshore Louisiana (see Daily GPI, April 4). It said Friday that those constraints are continuing due to significant increases in supply nominations during the month, scheduled maintenance at compressor stations and actual flows in excess of scheduled flows. As a result, some interruptible receipt nominations (“A-1” and “IT”) are not being accepted. Shippers on the line were encouraged to check scheduled quantities after each cycle to determine how much of their interruptible receipt nominations had been accepted. If actual flows in excess of scheduled volumes threaten operational integrity, a Type 5 OFO could be implemented with as little as 24 hours’ notice prior to the start of a gas day, Sonat said.
