Northern Natural Gas issued a System Underrun Limitation notice for Saturday and Sunday, affecting all market-area zones (ABC, D and E/F).

Saying San Juan Lateral maintenance had been completed and that La Plata, Gallup and Bisti Stations were back in service, Transwestern raised its acceptance of lateral nominations from 725,000 MMBtu/d to 825,000 MMBtu/d effective with Friday’s Cycle 3. And for Saturday’s Timely Cycle, it was restoring the San Juan Lateral to full capacity of 860,000 MMBtu/d, three days ahead of schedule (see Daily GPI, March 28).

Trunkline said Friday a 10-day outage of its Terrebonne system offshore Louisiana, previously scheduled to begin April 12 (see Daily GPI, April 11), has been postponed indefinitely. Updates will be posted as they become available, the pipeline said.

NOVA said repairs to Dryden Creek Compressor Station were completed and that all IT service was reinstated in Segment 1 (see Daily GPI, April 10) at noon MDT Friday.

Questar has scheduled installation of fire suppression equipment at its Clay Basin storage facility for April 23. No injection or withdrawal nominations will be accepted for Cycles 1 and 2 that day, but both services are expected to be available for Cycles 3 and 4. This outage will impact four meters and cause a suspension of Park and Loan (PAL) service, Questar said.

Tennessee will take the Central Texas Gathering System/Transco Wharton meter out of service May 6-9 to perform upgrades to the meter station. During this period nominations will not be accepted at that meter and 59 others on the CTGS.

Kern River said 20,000 Dth/d of FT associated with its 2003 Expansion Project is currently committed to a shipper that no longer meets the pipeline’s credit requirements, and it has the right to terminate the existing transportation service agreement (TSA) with that shipper. The capacity, which may become available for service beginning the later of May 1, 2003 or the date that the 2003 Expansion Project is placed in service, has Opal and Wheeler Ridge as the primary receipt and delivery points; however, shippers interested in the capacity may request service at available receipt points in Wyoming and Utah and available delivery points in Utah, Nevada and upstream of Wheeler Ridge in California. Kern River said it will terminate the existing TSA immediately upon execution of a new TSA with the first credit-qualified shipper that offers to take the full 20,000 Dth/d for a 10-year or 15-year term at the applicable maximum incremental rate under the KRF-1 Rate Schedule. However, it also will consider terminating the existing TSA if it receives “an acceptable offer.” Offers are due by noon MDT Wednesday; call Laurie Brown at (801) 584-6410 for more information. Kern River also is taking bids through April 21 for 4,000 Dth/d of unsubscribed expansion capacity that has Opal as the receipt point and PG&E Daggett as the delivery point. See the bulletin board for details on both packages.

A third-party engineering firm is expected to complete by the end of June an evaluation of in-line pigging inspection data for the 24-inch Spraberry Line between the Plymouth and Spraberry Stations, Northern Natural Gas said Friday. Subject to the final outcome of the engineering study, NNG will proceed with repairs that it expects to finish by the end of September. A force majeure was declared in conjunction with the work; see the bulletin board for a list of 11 points at which flow may be affected.

Texas Eastern (Tetco) reported being notified of a third-party production platform operator’s intention to remove the platform at the upstream end of Tetco’s 24-inch mainline serving the Main Pass System. In order to accommodate the removal, the pipeline will be required to remove the Main Pass System from service and perform piping modifications prior to the project’s commencement. As a result, Tetco will be unable to receive production from 34 Main Pass System meters located upstream of Venice in the southeastern corner of Louisiana for an estimated eight to 12 days. The work is anticipated to begin in early to mid June; Tetco will provide another notice when the start date has been finalized.
