Effective April 1, total nominations at receipt points on its 26-inch Main Pass Line offshore southeast Louisiana increased significantly, Sonat said. Also, it began scheduled maintenance at compressor stations in the production area, and as a result, some interruptible nominations (“A-1” and or “IT”) are not being accepted due to capacity constraints. In addition, several receipt points on the Main Pass Line have been identified at which actual flows are exceeding scheduled flows, the pipeline said. It encouraged all shippers on the line to check scheduled quantities to determine how much of their interruptible receipt nominations were accepted, and asked operators not to overdeliver into the system in order to avoid implementation of a Type 5 OFO.

El Paso Field Services will take the C-2 turbine at its Blanco (NM) Plant out of service at noon April 8 through April 13 for a hot gas path inspection. After the C-2 turbine is returned to service, the C-1 turbine will be taken down at noon April 14 through the next day to perform a combustion inspection. EPFS also will perform maintenance on Unit #4 at its Manzanares Compressor Station for about six hours April 9. Both projects coincide with April 9-27 downstream constraints affecting the San Juan Basin (see Daily GPI, March 31). At this time, EPFS is not asking operators to shut in any wells, but they should monitor wellhead pressures as needed.

Kern River is considering offers for a 20,000 Dth/d package of long-term FT that is currently under contract to a non-creditworthy shipper. The primary receipt and delivery points are Opal and Wheeler Ridge respectively. The capacity is available for terms of 10 or 15 years under the pipeline’s KRF-1 Rate Schedule at the incremental rates applicable to the 2003 Expansion Project; however, Kern River said it also will consider negotiated rate offers.
