Tennessee Gas Pipeline is holding an open season through May 31to solicit interest in its Mississippi 500 Line Expansion Project.Tennessee expects the expansion to involve about 700,000 Dth/d offirm service starting June 1, 2001.

The project is aimed at providing firm mainline capacity betweenTennessee’s existing interconnect with Petal Gas Storage nearHattiesburg, MS, and a point seven miles downstream of Main LineValve 539 near Rosehill, MS, and between Rosehill and proposedinterconnects with Sonat and Destin Pipeline at or near Sonat’sEnterprise (MS) Compressor Station. The capacity must use the Petalinterconnect and the Enterprise interconnect as receipt anddelivery points and may involve receipt points and delivery pointsalong, adjacent to, or in the proximity of Tennessee’s 500 Linebetween those two points.
