Williams completed its Cherokee expansion project, increasingcapacity on the Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line (Transco) system by87 MMDth/d to provide additional firm transportation capacity toserve markets in Georgia. The $68 million project consisted ofadding looping and compression.

Williams’ Kern River pipeline, with expansion plans targetingLong Beach, CA, is holding an open season offering termdifferentiated rates (TDR) for firm service representing a discountfrom existing rates of up to 25 cents/Dth. The 15-day open seasonbegan Oct. 23.

Constraints will be minor today at the Opal (WY) processingplant as Williams Field Services begins testing and maintenance.But at least half of the plant’s current 540 MMcf/d activity willbe off the market Tuesday as the plant is shut down for 12 hours.Reductions June 17-24 will be about 75 MMcf/d.
