Stingray to Provide Gas Transport for Unocal’s Deep Shelf Project

Stingray Pipeline Co. LLC’s gas pipe system, a joint venture of Shell Gas Transmission LLC and Enterprise Products Partners LP, has contracted with its first deep shelf natural gas customer in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM). Stingray officials said the system will provide natural gas transportation services for Unocal’s Harvest deep shelf development, which is currently producing more than 45 MMcf/d.

Shell, Marathon and Enterprise Announce Agreements With BHP Billiton

Enterprise Products Partners LP and its joint venture partners, Shell Gas Transmission LLC (Shell) and Marathon Gas Transmission Inc. Wednesday announced plans to provide a comprehensive package of gathering, transportation, processing and exchange services to BHP Billiton for deepwater natural gas production from the Southern Green Canyon area of the central Gulf of Mexico. The onshore Neptune processing plant will be expanded to handle the additional volumes.

Inc. and Emera Inc., will hold an open season beginning Monday (March 17) for capacity at its Wyckoff Gas Storage Project in Steuben County, NY. Up to 6 Bcf of working gas storage capacity will be available on a firm basis for terms ranging from two-to-10 years beginning October 2004.

Shell Drops Venture to Build Northern California LNG Terminal

Shell US Gas and Power announced it will no longer participate in a plan to build a $1.5 billion liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Vallejo, CA citing problems with scheduling, expansion or cost. However, the Royal Dutch/Shell unit said it may consider building a terminal somewhere else in the state.
