Southern California Gas said it regained a total of 340 MMcf/d of receipt capacity Wednesday at its Topock, AZ, border interconnects with El Paso and Transwestern following completion of anomaly repairs on Line 3000 that had required a reduction in line pressure. The work had begun Nov. 10.

Transportation Notes

In a further update about maintenance on Line 4000 that has caused a loss of 700 MMcf/d of receipt capacity at the South Needles (El Paso, Topock), and North Needles (Transwestern and Southern Trails) border points since Sept. 20 (see Daily GPI, Oct. 13), Southern California Gas said Tuesday the line will be isolated from Newberry to Main Line Valve 12 (a total of 36 miles) due to numerous anomalies recently discovered from internal inspection. The line will remain out of service until mid to late December, SoCalGas said.

Transportation Notes

In an update Thursday about Line 4000 maintenance that has caused a loss of 700 MMcf/d of receipt capacity at South Needles (El Paso, Topock), and North Needles (Transwestern and Southern Trails) since Sept. 20 (see Daily GPI, Sept. 21), Southern California Gas said the line will be out for a minimum of two months. Further updates will be posted as more information becomes available, SoCalGas said.

Transportation Notes

Mojave Pipeline began taking its compressors at the Topock, AZ border delivery point into Southern California down, one at a time, for exhaust system maintenance Tuesday. The outages, which are scheduled to last through Thursday, reduce capacity into Mojave from El Paso and Transwestern by 165 MMcf/d from a base capacity of 500 MMcf/d.

Transportation Notes

El Paso has postponed until 2003 maintenance shutdowns of the Mojave Topock Station ( DMOJAVE), previously scheduled for Nov. 8-15, and the Mojave Pipeline at Daggett, previously scheduled for Nov. 8. The change was made to accommodate customer scheduling needs during November, El Paso said.
