Exxon Mobil Chief Says Gas to Supply 25% of World Energy Demand by 2020

Exxon Mobil Chairman Lee R. Raymond believes there will be a “substantial increase” in natural gas use over the next 20 years, and by 2020, gas will supply about 25% of world energy demand. Much of the demand, he said, will come from liquefied natural gas (LNG), which Exxon believes will grow fourfold from its current levels.
