Questar moved up the scheduled resumption of normal operations at its Clay Basin storage facility by one day to the start of the April 18 gas day. The current Clay Basin shut-in previously had been expected to last until April 19 (see Daily GPI, April 2).

Cove Point Plans June Maintenance Shutdown; Market Impact Assessed

Dominion Cove Point plans to shut down its liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Lusby, MD, for the entire month of June to carry out maintenance related to the expansion of its facilities. A major customer of the terminal believes the impact of the temporary closure of the 1 Bcf/d plant on the U.S. gas market will be minimal.

Citing current inventory levels and scheduled storage shut-in testing, Dominion said an OFO will take effect Wednesday. It said it has taken certain actions that will affect Appalachian pool operators bringing gas into the Dominion system. In order to preserve the pipeline’s ability to receive gas for injection from firm customers, the OFO requires all shippers to ensure that all confirmed scheduled nominations for receipts will equal deliveries. Shell Resumes Mars Production, Full Flows Expected by End of June

Shell Exploration & Production Co. reported it has resumed partial production flows from its Mars Tension Leg Platform (TLP), the largest producing platform in the Gulf of Mexico. The platform was shut-in due to damage from Hurricane Katrina last August.
